Family Vacation Bible School
VBS for all ages, children through adults, is scheduled for June 5-7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Our theme will be “WELCOME!” Our team is planning Scripture, stories, recreation, art, snacks, music, and more for the whole family to enjoy together. We will lead into the annual Children’s Art and Literacy Festival (C.A.L.F.) the following weekend using one of the featured books, Wombat Said Come In, illustrated by Brian Lies, as we look at giving and seeking help in times of need.
As last year, we will have some children whose adults are unable to attend, so we will need additional adults to help shepherd “family groups” or to help by taking photos, serving snacks, etc. Mark your calendar and plan to join us!
Summer Camps for Children and Youth
The Diocese of NW Texas will have two summer camps in 2023. Camp Quarterman (youth who have completed grades 7-12) will be July 16-22 and Camp Quarterman Jr (children who have completed grades 2-5) will be July 23-28. Youth who have completed 6th grade may choose either camp. Both camps will be at Ceta Glen in Happy, Texas. For details and to register, see https://www.dionwt.org/What%20We%20Do/youth-ministry.html.
Leading into Summer:
As is our custom, we will be taking a summer sabbatical from our program ministries to give our wonderful leaders a break.
Our last Spring Wednesday night will be a cookout and celebration on May 17.
Sunday School for children and youth will have their final Spring classes on May 21.
Preaching the Good Word which will continue and both youth and adults are welcome to attend to discuss each week’s Gospel lesson at 9:15 each Sunday.
We are planning some special monthly gatherings for fun and fellowship. Stay tuned for dates and details!
